Springcrest Elementary School and Riverside Elementary School joined forces for a meaningful service project. As part of a Grade 3 initiative at Springcrest, students are selling gold flags to be proudly displayed in front of both Springcrest and Riverside Elementary schools. The flags, as shown in the photos, were proudly placed by students to spread awareness throughout the community.
The flags are available for $1 and can be purchased at Springcrest Elementary from any Grade 3 teacher or select students. All proceeds will be shared between the families of Evangeline McKenna (Kindergartener at Springcrest) and Jade Cato (5th grader at Riverside). We encourage everyone to help raise awareness for Childhood Cancer by lining the streets with gold!

The exceptional School Resource Officers (SRO’s) assigned to our elementary schools in the Suwannee County School District visited classrooms to talk with students about staying safe. Students were instructed how to recognize and report concerning behavior. They also got the chance to meet the awesome SRO assigned to their school.
A big thank you to the special women and men who protect and serve our schools every day!
