Students from Mr. Hicks’s World History Honors Class presented poppy flowers to our Veteran teachers on campus. The poppy flower is a symbol of sacrifice and support for veterans and their families. The tradition of Veterans Day traces its origins to Armistice Day which marked the end of World War 1, November 11, 1918. Thank you Veterans for your sacrifices and commitment to freedom. Freedom isn’t free.
